The Collins Stratus (TSK281503) is a solvent-based option for difficult media including PVC, foils, UV-coated surfaces, and some metals, with fast dry time.
Porous and Semi-Porous Surfaces (Corrugated, Paper, Cardboard)
The Kao Collins Super Fast Black (TWK1961H) is the go-to ink for porous and semi-porous substrates including corrugated boxes, matte papers, and packaging cartons. It is a direct replacement for the Wolke UB7482 and the discontinued Collins CM-796KB. The Collins Pack Ink (TWK-2103) is a pigment-based option with long decap time, ideal for lines with frequent start/stop cycles. The General Imaging HD119 offers up to one hour of decap time on corrugated and clay-coated stocks.
Aqueous Coated Stocks (Glossy, Clay-Coated, Matte)
The IQ2392A is sourced from General Ink of Japan — the same formulation as the discontinued HP Q2392A (also sold as the Secap Picasso and RENA EasyInk). The Collins Reliable H (TWK328001) is formulated for matte and glossy papers and chipboard with decap over one hour. Colorlabs remanufactured options include the MRH08A Aqueous Black and MRH09A Hybrid Black at significant savings versus OEM pricing.
