It appears that there is a temporary supply shortage on the HP c6168a. We’ve got our next shipment arriving after 10/15, so if you’re looking to make a big color splash with your last minute political mail, it may need to be in a color other than red.

A New Collins Ink is now available
We have just added the Collins TWK1961H Superfast black to our lineup. We’ve talked to customers that prefer its performance to the Wolke UB7482, and they certainly like the price better. Here is more information on the TWK1961H.
A change in dynamics
This post isn’t really about the plusses and minuses of Adam Sandler Movies, that could probably take up a lot of time on a Psychiatrist’s couch, but more about how streaming video has become a viable starting distribution point for full length feature films, with high paid star actors. http://www.businessinsider.com/adam-sandler-movies-box-office-2014-10.
As we begin to absorb the realities of the digital age, what other standard distribution practices are at risk?
Recycle Thank yous!
The recycled cartridges from our Vote4Change campaign, and the results are already a resounding win. We appreciate your interest in recycling the cartridges, so they can be used again, and we know you appreciate a little discount off of your next order.
Keep those machines busy during the political mail season, and keep letting us know when you need labels to send them back to us.
As a caution, try to be aware of situations where the ink may leak on it’s way back to us, as that causes a number of issues, as you might suspect 🙂
Thanks,

I’ld love to take credit
It would appear to the untrained eye that this post (once I get to it), and the previous post were intended to be a series. Unfortunately, I didn’t come across the second article until after I had posted the first, so it is just a happy coincidence. A few more thoughts on cause and effect … http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/2014/09/symptoms-and-diseases.html
A little bit of analysis fun
Ok, this has probably nothing to do with printing and imaging (although I’m guessing someone can find a correlation). A series of charts that show pretty good correlation, but also vividly expose the idea that correlation does not equal causation. Have a chuckle or two, I hope. http://www.tylervigen.com/
Back to the basics for our customers
Sometimes we get so far ahead in terms of being advanced in our analysis and expectations for a direct mail piece, we forget to go back to some of the basics, and become grounded again in what works. Here’s an article directed at the direct mail customer… http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/237125
Is digital personalization now part of pop culture?
With the overwhelming brand awareness of Coca-Cola, and the success of their share a coke campaign, has the concept of digital personalization taken hold in pop culture? Is an understanding of the concept by the general public going to create an expectation for more from direct mail contacts as well? http://www.packageprinting.com/article/coca-cola-expands-its-share-a-coke-campaign-to-the-united-states/1
