International payments

While we’re talking about international sales, we”e looking for a better way to accept international payments. Credit Cards work, but due to the normally higher transaction value, and higher discount rates, it can make the transaction costs a significant amount.

If you have ideas for a more cost effective way to reliably and securely transmit payment information, we’d love to hear about it, and our international customers would appreciate it as well.

We will ship internationally

Ink4mail.com has been shipping overseas since almost our founding. We’ve shipped to Europe, Asia, Australia, the Netherlands, in addition to Canada and Mexico. If you would like a price quote on cartridges and shipping, please contact us via email at info@ink4mail.com

Boxes, boxes everywhere

Through the course of reselling ink from Hewlett Packard, Collins Ink, and other suppliers, we end up with a reasonable number of empty boxes over time. We’ve offered them to people in our community around Christmastime, for storage of their ornaments, and have gotten a good response from that.

However, we are looking for additional ideas on how to get more uses out of them. Please send us your suggestions!!

Visit from Collins Ink

Ink4mail.com will be having guests from Collins Ink visit on August 8th. If you have a question or a comment that you would like us to pass along, please leave a reply below. We will work to post the questions and answers after our meeting. Thank you.

Minor Delivery Disruption

Due to a problem with equipment at Collins Ink, we are anticipating some shortages in inventory over the next week.  The primary cartridge that this will affect is the Max 3 (TWK-1396), as it is one of our highest volume products.  According to Collins, we should be expecting a shipment by the end of next week.  We apologize for the inconvenience that this may cause you, and as you look at your production needs please consider alternate Collins Inks that may suit your needs.

If you haven’t taken a look at our Ink Selector, please do so at  https://www.ink4mail.com/faq/ink_selector, which can give you information about other inks that might suit your needs in the short term, while Collins catches up on their inventory.

We encourage you to provide your feedback on the inks that you use through the Ink selector as well, so other customers can benefit from the community of experts that ink4mail supplies.

Questions about Collins Inks

We just set up an appointment with representatives from Collins Ink during the week of August 8th, 2012.  We’ve had good results since beginning to carry a selected line of their products, from the Max 3 to more recently stocked endurance inks.

As we prepare for their visit, we wanted to get some feedback from you as to what questions we should ask them while they are here.  If there are specific technical or use questions you would like us to pass along, please let us know.

Failure Rates

An unfortunate side effect of the ink business is failure rates in the cartridges.  HP maintains they have a less than 1% failure rate on their cartridges, and the other refillers are a little less interested in providing information in that regard, other than the logical conclusion that the more times a cartridge is refilled, the more likely it is to fail.

What kind of failure rates are you getting from the various manufacturers?  Hewlett-Packard, Color Labs, Collins.  Those are the manufacturers we represent, and have had good results with (haven’t done a percentage failure count ourselves, recently).  This allows us to stand behind our product with confidence.

Thank you for your continued loyalty to ink4mail.com

Collins Max 3 vs Collins Max 2

While we do sell both Collins Max 2(twk1386h) and Collins Max 3 (twk1396h), Collins ldescribes the Max 3 as a replacement for the Max 2. If you have used both, we would really like your opinion on whether it works as a replacement in your situation.

If you are currently using Max 2, perhaps you might want to order a sample of the Max 3.

Have a Happy 4th!!

Ink4mail.com will be closed for the holiday.
